Mayor, Bruce Vissser
Please welcome Sandi Fowler to the City of Atkins. The City Council approved Sandi’s contract to begin Monday, February 19, 2024. She will be serving as the City’s Interim City Administrator as we conduct our search for a permanent administrator to serve the community. Sandi brings over thirty years of experience at all levels of city government to Atkins, most recently at the executive level as Cedar Rapids Deputy City Manager. Yard waste pickup occurs each trash pickup day, April through November.
Waste Management observes six main Holidays through the year. They are as follows: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
